• Re: Ugh! Stolen horse?!

The thing was is it was just supposed to be a lease. She was letting me borrow money that I would be paying her back. She only loaned me $300 cash, the other $200 was money she said we owed her though she couldn't recall what for. I but "buy" in quotes because thats how she said it to me, I will "buy" him from you aka loan me money and she gets to use him until I can pay her back.. So now that I can pay her back and we didn't have a clear contract she is saying he is hers

I never replied to this post so I thought I'd let everyone know what happened. We had a chiro/massage therapest out, she was not out at all, not sore, just fine. Vet said the same thing. Tried different saddles/pad combo's that the chiro suggested, she would still blow up randomly. The client decided she was not safe for his girlfriend and sold her.

  • Ugh! Stolen horse?!

So.I'm super frustrated, here's the story. So I aquired a free breeding stock paint gelding over the summer, has sarcoids and needed his feet fixed, but man was he beautiful! His feet look great now, had some sarcoids surgically removed and sucessfully using xxterra on the rest. here is a pic of him So I've had my arabian gelding Tino since he was a yearling, he's now 8 and I don't ever plan on getting rid of him. My husband and I came on tough times and I needed to do something

  • APHA Papers?

Hello all, its been a while since I've been on! So allow me to update on my most recent situation. I had been looking for a QH or paint that I could do some open shows with, big built, tall, something for western pleasure. Lucky me, my friend sent me a picture message on my way to work of a beautiful sorrel breeding stock paint gelding, and asked if I wanted him for free. I think initally 'of course!' which is closely followed by, 'why is he free?' Apparently the guy just has
You need to get her attention before she gets the chance to rear. Spoil it for her and work through it.
That is some really great advice, and I will use it to the best of my ability. Thank you. : )

Just little english nubs, but she does it with or without them so it doesn't matter. The girl did a lot of groundwork with her, there is honestly nothing more I can do on the ground with her. In 4-H once you get to your senior year you are supposed to start a colt and break it, but not everyone does, its just for advancement purposes. (I was in 4-h for 8 years and now I'm a co leader for a horse and rabbit group). And like I said, for the first two weeks I rode her she was perfectly fine

  • won't stop rearing...

Hey all, its been a while since I've posted but I have an issue I just haven't been able to figure out. My new trainer mare has deveoped a problem and I can't seem to get to the root of it. She's rearing. I lunge her for 10 mins before each session, then another 10 bitted up with a surisingle, she's beautiful on the ground, gives well to the bit, listens well, moves nicely, look good. So, we're all warmed up so now I get on her back. The second I lay any leg into her to move
