thanks everyone! I worked on them again last night and he got the first two but then decided to start bucking I think I counted 15 in total not all at once, but they got him all excited so he just couldn't resist adding one in every now and then.

I'm basically the same way as you guys, polos/SMBs for riding, but put on PROPERLY! I too cringe at the sight of a horse being worked with their legs wrapped incorrectly... I actually stopped someone at the barn one day and told them to take the wraps off if they wanted their horse to stay sound... Anyway I'm just not used to the term "stall bandages" and it really confused me when, on the same package, it also said "track bandage" and "cold water bandage". Meaning

I've seen them used different ways around here, like with the pads underneath, without them for keeping legs white, etc... So what do *you* use them for? I use polos when I'm riding, but I've also seen people at shows with just the stall bandage on when riding. My Mom saw a four pack of turquoise stall bandages (Tonto's colour!) to help keep his legs white at shows, and I was just wondering if it is safe to use them for everything, or only with/without pads etc. This is the kind she

Tonto got his first "official" flying lead changes tonight, back to front, on a straight line! He does them for pole bending and stuff like that but it's his first time getting them while at a lope and staying collected! After that I gave him a pat and then rode him with his neck rope instead of the bridle... He was awesome! (I went in the small arena for that)

Awesome, thanks for the info!

I've seen most of her other videos, and all I can say is that she is AMAZING!!!

I agree with 2k10h for sure, it would be much cheaper (and easier!) to just buy one. If you're careful, the internet can be a great place to shop for horse items. That's how I found a saddle big enough for my Paint, because he is very hard to fit. I actually ordered my show halter off the internet too, it is a Silver Royal. We had to get a couple of extra holes punched in but it looks great and we got it for a great price!

I can't remember what magazine it was, but it wasn't an advertisement... It just said that some people were working on it or something? Anyway I thought that the idea was kind of neat but that it would be hard to avoid some of the problems that you mentioned. I don't want to put sliding plates on Tonto because I don't compete in reining seriously, just at a couple of the smaller shows I go to. When I'm at APHA shows or bigger circuit shows, I never do reining. I'd love to

Hey everyone, I while back I saw something about rear hoof boots for reining horses, so that they can slide without having to be shod in the back. Has anyone on here heard about these? And would you use them on your horse? I'm just curious, but I think it would be great to not have to shoe them in the back or worry about them slipping on trails if there was a boot that you could just use for reining. Wouldn't it cause some issues though and be dangerous because if they forget it's on

Okay, I will let you know if I decide to order one of his. Somebody at the barn has told me that they have a show saddle that is extra wide, so I'll try it out first and see how it works...
