So, my question is, how may horses AND people have to die before we stop doing equestrian sports?
Well, I guess since we are ALL guilty, the first thing you need to do is get rid of your horses. Lead by example. Set all your pomees free. Then and only then will we truly understand your sincerity and be willing to follow you. Oh, and stop watching all equestrian events on TV. Don't buy any magazines, books, or anything that has to do with horses. Because

This new format just sucks. No two ways about it. I lurk some, but posting just isn't what it used to be. I also had quite a few 'life changes' as did most of the other DavidHers, and now we just don't have the time or ability to log in anymore. I think if there were more threads about unicorns and butterfly farts, the old crew would creep back in.....

I was afraid to come out and say it, for fear of excommunication. But I just remembered that we don't communicate here anymore anyway! Majikal unicorns? That travel over rainbows? Can they make my wish come true? I'm only asking for a fully trained Olympic level schoolmaster, preferrably bay. Must be 17hh, gelding, totally bombproof, require no special feed/vet/farrier/training. I have $150 and need the horse delivered to me. But it would have to be in the mornings when I'm not working

AND WHY DOESN'T MY SIG FIT ANYMORE??????????????? Oh, but EVERYONE'S using this format now. Yeah right. Where's that unicorn when you need him?

It depends, also, on what type of English you do. A hunter holds her leg much differently than a dressage rider does. Best bet is to ask your instructor. While you want your heels down in all english riding disciplines, there are just too many variables to accurately answer that question! Good luck in your learning! Remember to have fun!

And why, Colleen, are you singling me out for attack when others here have agreed with me? What have I ever done to you to provoke you this way?
-
Why are you jumping on my case? Am I not entitled to my own opinion? I'm not judging anyone for their opinion on MC, just asking they re-evaluate. All I'm saying is that just because your experience level dictates a vet call doesn't mean everyone has the same experience you do. And it doesn't give you the right to tell MC she's wrong. Obviously, you've only had horses from a personal standpoint. And that's ok. But like someone said earlier, OM or WiMorabs or someone, sometimes, horses are a business

Um, real adult. I'm not needing midol, as it's not that time of the month. Thanks for your concern tho. I guess since I don't agree with you, I'm wrong, huh? Why not come back with some valid points? I'd love to have an adult debate on the training of show horses with you. If you are up for it. Way to show everyone that you are educated about what you are speaking about. Oh wait, I forgot, this is the internet. Any yahoo can post anything they want. And the reason you didn't come to me for your problems
