LOL. I've always kind of wondered why my parents called me Pumpkin when I was younger. It was probably a reference to my shape! And I guess Dusty found all the fat! Don't greys start out really dark then lighten as they age?
-
LOL, yeah. That is Rose. She is also 1/2 Percheron and 1/2 QH.

My 4-H leader just sent me this picture. It's Dusty and me from 2004. She looks so weird! And I look like such a little kid! 2004 - Now -

If Jack doesn't get his bucket fast enough, he will grunt like crazy. He hardly ever speaks normally. I've owned him for two years and have heard him whinny about 4 times. And you pretend headbutt him he'll grunt, too. Dusty likes to eat goatees. Whenever my dad gives her a kiss she'll try to snatch it off his face! We're trying to get her stop it, but I think it's an addiction. Foxy... Well, she's just a kook. She's a straight-up frolicker. Whenever she's cavorting

Sheesh. Before RedSox brought it up, I didn't even know what joint injections were! From what I gather it's some sort of liquid being injected into the joint to reduce pain? To me, it seems silly to inject a horse unless it was a last resort. And RedSox, your comment to Pygmysong was quite pompous. As JennyBristol and others have stated, Dusty is not being ridden at her best. I am only a beginner in the English field of riding and she is also a beginner. I think you have been stuck under

JennyBristol: I think I'll have to save that in a word document so I can refer back to it! Thanks for the advice!

Thanks for the suggestion, but I think I'll just keep on working her with a bit. She's been a pasture pal and trail buddy for the past couple years, so we're still working on getting back into the groove of working. I show her in English pleasure, English eq, and trail. Someday we might give teeny tiny fences a whack; she's already proven that she has no qualms about jumping two feet. What exactly are their joints injected with? What purpose does it serve?
-
RedSox: Could you please elaborate? Why does she need a bitless bridle? I can't show in one. And why on earth would I inject her joints, and with what?

Sorry I haven’t been on a ton lately, so I’ve gotten a bit behind on replying! Solaris: Thank you for the exercise! I will try that the next time I’m out riding her. (Which will probably be a long time, since we’ve recently gotten about 8 inches of snow!) LilDrumr: Is the 12 and 6 o’clock belly button thing the same as Linda Parelli’s “roll your pelvis towards your tailbone?” I do own Dusty. There is no rail in my arena, what do I when she rushes? I also don’t have an instructor that I can get to

One of my friends ordered a Teskey Reiner II saddle. I liked it a lot! www.teskeys.com
