Ok, I'm getting at my whitts end with dust and dirt! We have not put a tack room in our barn yet, that is coming this spring/summer. But in the mean time I need ideas for storage. I have old fridge for feed and supplements, no big deal there. But what about halters, brushes, etc everyday things, and buckets. I feel like I am recleaning a clean bucket b/c they are so dusty. Pleas Help! Melia

Oh yes, I dont even keep the saddles and show halters in the barn. they are in the trailer tack room covered. Hand wipes and old towels are my best friend trying to de-dust stuff all the time. Drives me crazy!

I'm looking for suggestions for a supplement for a horse that has mild arthritis. I've not had one with arthritis so I'm clueless as to whats a good supplement. Thanks!

Thanks. A mutual friend is looking for a home for her daughters first horse (he's 15yo), I was thinking of taking him for a starter horse for my niece and daughter, and the occassional gues trail horse. The owner says he's ok for the light trail riding, and her vet told her to give him banimine (sp?) before any hard riding. I've not gone to "inspect" him yet, going next week while on vacation. I just wanted to get some info on supplements to get an idea of what I"m up against

I am actually looking for kittens to but in the barn. But didnt know what to do till I found some. Has anyone heard of putting rubber snakes up? I think we do have 2 owls (plastic ) from our garden I could try. I just want them gone! I'm tired of cleaning bird poo off of everything.

Ok, so I've been out to see 2 different horses mainly to be used as trail horses for my hubby and anyone visitng basically. Both horses had obvious things wrong with them both superficial and soundness wise. First horse was said to be used at local shows "always in ribbons", he was a 9 yo. paint, super super skinny, I'm talking ribs showing with winter coat still (none of her other horses looked like that). I can overlook that to some extent, a little grocies.. Took him and owner
We're definately looking at a house we're really interested in that's close to Richmond,
Jessi- Richmond is closer to us than Lexington, just about an hour south of me. Once you find a house dont forget you're welcome to send a few to our place if you dont have enough right right away. -Melia (aka DukesMom)

Ddalton- Thanks! Yes thats my DD, she will be 9 months on the 28th, time is flying! I've not been on here in awhile so there hasnt been any new pics of her floating around. Oh yes, blonde and blue eyes, her daddy is not looking forward to the dating years :) Jessi- Yes, we are in Southwestern Ohio, near Cincinnati. Once you get settled we will definatly plan a ride! Also, PM me if you get ready to move and need a place to kepe the horses temporarily, I'd be about 1-2hrs from your new place
