I am the same way! I think its realizing what horseback riding is and the dangers to it, so yes, we've become more knowledgeable (sp?). If a friend asked me to get up on a horse, I leadped at the chance, like, just get me on him!!! I still feel the same way but I also put into persepective that I need to know more about the horse and what he/she could do because I've never ridden him/her before. Yesterday was my 18th birthday and later that day we went to a friends house/farm. And she let me ride one of her horses, Flash, who is an Arabian. I'm not sure how old he his, though. I know there are a couple of things wrong with my position; shoulders need to be back, head up, legs more underneath me, and I need to reposition my stirrups across the ball of my boots. I haven't ridden in forever so I'm kind of out of position and shape but if you could critique me anyways!! Thanks!

Hhmmm, thanks! I didn't realize that the saddle was so far up his shoulder. And that makes sense as to why my legs were farther forward.

Wow! I'm glad neither of you got hurt because that is a very tall horse! But yeah, those 2 seconds of falling off a horse are really weird. I know when I'm falling, in my head I'm saying, "wow, I'm falling and I should be stopping myself but hey, lets just keep falling!"
