  • Re: Chomping and Chewing the bit!

My friend has a horse that is OCD. Not certified or anything, but to be honest, it's quite obvious (think circling his feed bucket 3 times both ways before eating, doing weird and repeated actions with his neck and head, playing with the bit CONSTANTLY). He's been under saddle almost 3 years now and he still plays and chews and chomps the bit. She tried everything from the french link, to a mullen mouth, to a waterford (which is the best so far, surprisingly), yet he still makes a huge fuss

  • Re: Hi Everyone... it's been awhile!

Whoo! I hear boys are easier ;) My sister read that book "What to expect when you're expecting" and found it really helpful when she had her first baby. She was only 23 too, but has turned out to be an awesome mom with two of 'em now. Doubt it's the book, but hey, it might not be a bad read for those of us without inborn "baby skillz".

  • Season's greetings from Florida!

Just here to wish everyone an awesome holiday season with lots of love, furry ponies, apple cider, and snow if you like that stuff (as you can tell, we get along quite well without it). This is our Christmas card, enjoy the beautiful and green and not-cold-by-any-means weather and imagine you're here with us =)

Wow, 5 months? How exciting! Glad that you and your horses are doing well. Stay warm up there or your baby's gonna come out as an abominable snowbaby. Ahh! Just kidding and welcome back! Do you know what you're expecting yet in terms of gender, or are you going to keep it a surprise? Or is it too early to know yet? I don't know much about babies..

  • Re: Saddle pad question?

Oh, super good! I have a very particular ass I'm actually getting the cashel half-pad thing for Wasabi's back because I'm seriously NOT convinced that the CAIR panels are comfortable.

  • Re: Finally had a lesson!!!! VIDEO AND PICS ADDED!!!

Beautiful horse you're riding! I just started back lessons after YEARS and I feel much better about my riding now. Your instructor does the exact thing that I do when I'm watching a horse move in a circle; tilts her head! Lol, and I thought that I was the only looney that did that. I never even noticed that I had that vice until someone asked if the view was better from that angle. I guess it is.
