1. Have any of you had good experiences with OTTB and if so, how are you horses now? I just got my first horse about three months ago that is an OTTB and he is the perfect horse. He raced from age two to about 4 or 5 yrs old and was quite successful. Then after his racing career he was bought by someone at my barn who retrained him and then he was passed down to another girl and then to me. He has been the most awesome horse I've ever ridden. I haven't been on here in ages with school and riding but I'm back. So I decided to give you guys an update and beware it might be long.... Well, on January 3, 2008 I got my first horse Brickens. He is truly my dream horse and I love him to bits. I had been leasing Brickens since about September or Novemberish and we just fell in love right away. He has such a great personality, well most of the time. He loves to give me kisses and starts begging whenever my mom comes into the barn. Also

Thanks, Brickens loves to stick his tongue out. Whenever I give him a treat he'll lick his lips for atleast 15 minutes afterwards.

My favorite horse is my horse Brickens. My parents surprised me and got him for me for Christmas, definately my BEST Christmas present ever!! Brickens is the perfect horse. He is awesome undersaddle, although he can kinda lazy one day and then quite a handful the next. He also has great ground manners until he sees any kind of treat and he goes nuts, pawing and begging for just one. He LOVES treats and I'm working on him to stop begging. I haven't been on ES in ages but I'm back for now and I just wanted to show off my new love. Brickens is a 16.3 hand bay OTTB gelding that I'm now leasing until he's sold (and hopefully to me if I can convince my parents). My riding has improved tremendously since I started Brickens a few months ago and I just love him to death. He has such a great personality and it will break my heart if he's sold. Sorry there's so many.

I just want to know what you think of Brickens and my riding position. My riding has greatly improved since I started riding Brickens a few months ago and I hope to take him to a show on the 12th. The camera's batteries died before my dad could take any of me cantering or jumping but hopefully I'll have some of those soon.

I would definately get a lock for all your pasture gates and lock them whenever you leave your house and for the night.
