We have a board member that is from the France area. Honestly, I thought this was going to be about him falling off his horse.

hahaha, I"m glad I"m not the only one.

Hey Bucks, just remember that for a horse to move slow they have to be in shape. The slower you want them to move the better the shape they have to be. An unfit horse can not carry natural "collection" very long. The fitter she gets the better rides you will get. OMG, to top off the truck issues (which I still don't think is tranny) Brat flooded the barn last night. She managed to get the hose pulled into her stall and it ran full bore, must have been ALL night. When I went out this

I'm with SP here, I had a dump you and run kind of horse. I learned the hard way to ride with a two piece rein and I didn't let go for nothing. Saved me hiking home for miles horseless on numerous occasions. Well, I"m 100% totally ticked. As you all remember I had to have some major work done to my truck this summer. I had them go over the engine and tranny BEFORE they fixed the transfer case to make sure that once I dropped $700 on the transfer case nothing else would go wrong in short
Criminey in a bucket, JG! I remember you saying the speed sensor was the problem. I don't remember anything about the sensor being MIA, though. That being the case, I can't help but wonder how that transmission worked at all. Did it get progressively worse or just screw up from the beginning?
OH yeah, I guess I thought I had said something about that. When they re-did the transfer case in August they had to do it 3 times before they got it

OUCH SP. Depending on how bad her mouth is sore you might consider getting some alfalfa cubes and soaking them for her for a few days too. Chewing Hay might really hurt.

Here bucks, this is what the tail looks like when wrapped up. I didn't french braid it this time. Just a normal braid. Then you take the end of the braid and loop it through the braid right below the tail bone. You'll then have a loop of tail with then end sticking out and you just wrap it all up. But DON'T put the wrap on the tail bone. Just the hair.

I have a turtle story for you though. A friend and I were out riding in a couple hundred acre patch of ground. It had open spots, trees, just a nice place to ride and has trails mowed through it. We were both on bareback and riding along blabbering back and forth. We'd been cantering along and I held up my hand to signal her to stop. There was a good sized rock in the path that had never been there before. We slow to a walk and I'm in front. I get up closer to it and realize it's a turtle
It's a pity that she has taken this turn for the worse. I think I agree it might have been better to do it before her mental faculties were affected. My heart goes out to you as you make this tough decision, but I'm sure it's the right thing to be done for her. I've never dealt with what you're dealing with and certainly didn't realize they could manifest so quickly. I'll keep you both in my thoughts. *hugs*
Hugs to you. I can
Sparrows are the bringers of death for Squeaker. Bear in mind that she is pasture kept and should be fairly familiar with the little things, but apparently they're terrifying. This is the same horse who came within literally inches of stepping on the stupid pigeon that lives in the arena last winter, and barely noticed when he flushed from right under her feet, but I guess sparrows are different.
Haha, reminds me of another horse I had. Out riding
