  • Re: What is wrong with equine.com?

CheyAut is indeed correct. The reason you don't see all of the text is because free text ads have a limit of 150 characters (which is 10 characters more than what Twitter allows incidentally). Once an ad is purchased, the full text is viewable. I will discuss with our team the possibility of lengthening it at our next staff meeting. Thank you for your feedback. • Re: Official Q&A for the New Community- Customer Service

Just a note to let everyone know, we ARE working on issues. We are human, and there are few of us. We know the site may have issues on occasion, and we are working through them. Bashing EquiSearch and advertisers is not the way to go about affecting change and will not be tolerated in the forums whatsoever. Please have some patience and give us a chance to sort through issues on the site. We have a new version in testing right now and are making sure it's as complete as possible before updating

Safari Users:If you know html, feel free to use html tags to get your "formatted content" into your post. So you can use <b>BOLD!</b> if you want to make your text bold, or use font tags for colored text or different font sizes. You can use <img src=""> to place images into your posts as well. It's not a "rich text editor" so you have to know html, but unfortunately there is not much support for those kinds of features in Safari as they have a tendency

I appreciate everyone's patience. I've noticed that there is some slowness to the site as well and reported it to the engineers yesterday. It's hard to tell (yet) whether it's because the site is new and the database hasn't been "indexed" yet, or if it's for another reason. I promise they're working on it, and I'll keep everyone posted as to the status. As with any new product launch, there are always issues in the beginning that will get worked out over

To answer a few questions, the "Little People" that are next to names I *think* are for people that are currently online. Not 100% sure (I'm learning the site as well) but I think that's why they're there. On the "Last Unread Post" topic, I found something this morning that I hope will help, and if it doesn't then we'll code something to make it work ;-) 1. Go into a forum such as "General Discussion"... not into any topic, but just the "General

Cotoncandie - Are you on Safari browser on a Mac? If you're using a Mac with Safari, I believe it does a "plain text" mode rather than all the emoticons. You might try a different browser like IE or Firefox and see if the emoticons show up for you.

On the "Last Unread Post" topic, I found something this morning that I hope will help, and if it doesn't then we'll code something to make it work ;-) 1. Go into a forum such as "General Discussion"... not into any topic, but just the "General DIscussion" forum itself. At the bottom of the page, there is a "More Options" button. 2. When you click "More Options", you will see a "Topic Filter" with a drop-down. 3. Select "Hide

  • Re: Please, Please can we have a....

Hi slewbaby, Thanks for your feedback. There is a classifieds link at the top of the page -- we are part of the Equine Network of classifieds which covers horses, stallions, trucks, trailers, and products (apparel, etc). We encourage people to make use of the already existing classifieds system in place -- it's much easier to find what you need since the search engine is already there, and you have the ability to place free text ads as well. Hope this helps :)

Draftgirl04, this was fixed about an hour ago. Please enter your postal code again. I have changed mine to AAAAAAA AAAAAA to test and the system accepted it fine. I'm sorry you don't like the new forums, change can be tough. We will be working to improve them, and we've already added a lot of new features. We're doing our best to make the forums a better place. Thanks.
