  • Re: Those of you who feed Beet Pulp...

Interesting article. My father, however, has been feeding beet pulp to some of our horses (in moderation of course) for several years and they are all very healthy and happy. If you think about it, though, everything can be toxic to horses if they are fed in excess. I wouldn't worry about feeding beet pulp if your horse is doing well on it. As long as you continue in moderation, you shouldn't have any problems.

  • Bringing a horse back to driving...

In a few months, I am going to be starting a Mini in harness again after several years of not being driven. She is a very level headed horse and I am used to driving, but I was wondering if anyone had any tips to help get her back in harness sucessfully. Unfortunately, I don't have any information about what she did before she came to our barn, but I was told that she was well-broke to drive. Thanks in advance for any tips!!

  • Re: Fencing Problem...

When we were redoing our pastures, we looked into Centaur Fencing. We didn't really find anything wrong with it, we just decided to go another route. I have noticted, however, at a farm that has Centaur down the road from us, the fence itself has come detached from the tensioning device several times. Now, this could very easily just be the lack of upkeep from the owners, but I would just look at how that device works closely. Good luck!!

  • Re: Everything For Horse & Rider - Your Input is Requested

Hi Jayne, My question is about English (mainly Dressage / Eventing / Jumper) fashion. Western has always been flashy and brightly colored, but bling is starting to pop up in English catalogues and stores. How do judges feel about the rhinestones on spurs, chokers, gloves, etc? And, even though it's horsey fashion, how about bling browbands? Thanks! Erica

  • Re: Sad Day For Eventing

There really aren't words to describe how sorry I am for Jon and Missy. Losing your partner is something that no one should ever have to go through. I guess the only silver lining here is that they were not physically injured in the accidents...they are absolutely in my thoughts. As for Darren, he is not one of my favorite riders in the world, but the fall he too was brutal. He and his family are in my thoughts and I hope to see him back in the saddle some day. I truly hope he will wake up and
