Thanks guys!!!! Like I said, I have never taken a formal lesson before, my mom has taught and is still teaching me everything, and I really didn't think you gripped your knees while riding Western (even though in a weird way, it does make a little sense to me only, but don't worry, I don't grip with my knees ) And I don't ride English....... at all, and the more I kept thinking about it, pinching/gripping with your knees, the more I thought of "ouch, that seems like it hurts"

Hello all! I have a question that may sound a little dumb and that's why I am here, seeking you help. My friend and I were talking and she said that when she rides Western, she grips/"pinches" with her knees, much like she does when she rides English. She's a wonderful horse, and I just feel absolutley horrible because she's just sitting out there and not being used for anything. I want her to go to a home where her potential can be exposed. She loves to work, and I think she would make a great cowhorse. I want her to be happy and I can just feel it when we ride, that she's not having a good time, because I'm tensed up and worried and she feels

Hello all. I am in a pickel!!!! Ok, I am 17 years old and own two horses. I cannot ride either of them, due to one with a stifle injury and one due to lamintis. That's totally fine, I'm not complaining. I got my first horse when I was 10, but couldn't really ride her, because she was so green!!! And we've all heard it before, green and green do not match! We waited a few years, then I started to ride her. Well, I had a pretty nasty spill. It scared me and I didn't ride for a long time. Then I got
