Why don't you ask her if you can lease the horse and cut the cost in half? Some ideas to earn money at the stables: Offer to give lessons to younger riders, lunge or groom horses for owners that are not able to come to the stables every day, ride a horse that needs some exercise or, if you are good enough, offer some training. When I was your age, I only had a pony and really fell in love with a gray mare at my stables but my parents weren't able to help

So a lady bought a horse, but the seller said if you bought one you had to buy the other. Well the lady bought both, but only wanted one. The one shes selling is absolutely gorgeous. I want him I'm sure I could work off the cost of a pasture board (or atleast work for a discount) but I'd need a paying job, and there arent any for 15 year olds that pay enough to keep a horse, properly anyway. Im sure theres some slum that never feeds or takes care of horses charging super cheap, but nobody

Well I'm only 15, so most places (including stables that are close enough. we dont have the money for an hour each way.) wont hire me until Im 16. Luckily thats in a little under 3 months. I just saw that horse, and wanted to buy him. Its almost never that you can find a well trained horse for that little around here. And its kinda sad that the person just doesnt want him. Cheaper board is cheaper because its far out from the cities, which is where I am. The closest place I've found to board

Include the catagory/item and what you pay for it [I know it differs a

I'll add in a little more for random vet stuff, but here in MN the feed bills are usually included with board prices. And I dont plan on competing with any horse I get, so I'll just leave those out. I think I might have done something wrong but using those above catagorys in my first post and adding in an extra two thousand (tell me if thats too much) for random vet fees that ARENT from the emergency fund I get: First year with horse (including all extra things you wouldnt buy year after

So have any of you guys made/restored a saddle? I'd like to hear about it, how long it took and how much it cost, the process, and especially pictures! And if you happen to have a saddle that you particularly LOVE and its just amazing, feel free to talk about those also. Have a nice day!
Are you asking for Western or English saddles?
Both I guess, I didnt know that there was any difference in placement...
When you post without stirrups you wait for your horse to through you up out of the saddle and you push up with your knees. I know it sounds easier than it is. but give it a try i hope this helps.
... push up with your knees?
