Just a word of advice: Do not buy Saxon tall field boots! I did because I liked the idea of not having to take care of leather boots but within 5-6 months the material was breaking down, it was cracking an peeling off. And I was riding only once a week then. The company (Weatherbeeta), of course, refused to take responsibilitry for the defective product saying that the boots were made in China (well what isn't) therefore there was nothing that they could do about it. Like you, I'm shopping
Then I have to wonder why this would ever be necessary.
Why is it necessary?.. $$ - lots of it! there's an ad about it in a magazine about how this company cloned the gelding Sapphire (grand prix jumper) so now they can use the horse for breeding - somthing that they previously couldn't do.

Hi Nicole, Have you read the book “Centered Riding”? that book really helps develop body awareness and one of the exercises in it explains how to lengthen and shorten the horse’s stride at a walk using only your seat. Another thing that helped me is that my trainer told me to focus on the side to side belly swing of the horse, (instead of just the forward motion) and swing her down to a halt. It really helped me.
If she didnt qualify him then why should she be allowed to ride him? If that were the case we would all be showing up at the big comps to ride.
Yea! Count me in for the Olympics!
"..........I gave Anky an 8 for her halt even though it was not maintained or square, just because I like her!"
Hahaha sad but true. I was reading in the book Tug of War that some competitors have so much leverage that they actually detemine

Wow, the pics are awesome! It can be a bit tricky to get shots at such a distance but yours look great. You're so lucky to be in florida and see the shows in person!
