My appaloosa had horible hooves, I put her on mineral but she wouldn't eat it! I even made treats with it but she still didn't like it. I am putting hoof flex on her hooves and that helped a little. So now she has shoes. I just need to know if there's any thing different that I need to do...

I don't really have anywhere to go on trail rides because I board my horse. I have been teaching her to walk around on grass without eating and not trying to go back to the barn. After somemore practice I can trailer her to a trail riding place. So probably #4 or #1 after more practice.

I have a 5 year old mare and I don't know whether I should breed her or not. I want to have a foal, but I don't know anything about breeding or if you can even ride the mare while she is in early pregnancy. What is the maximum breeding age? I want to know if I can wait a few years before I breed...

Thanks for all the information. I think I'll just stick to riding and stay away from training a foal for a few more years, but I do eventually want a foal.
